This year, we’re commencing an exciting project to update our Campus Master Plan for Bedford Park. Our new Master Plan will guide, inform and prioritise our physical infrastructure investments and decisions to ensure our campus continues to support Flinders University’s strategic objectives now and into the future.
Our aim is to create a uniquely Flinders Master Plan that underpins our mission to change lives and change the world – integrating and building on the legacy of our past, and in turn inspiring our future.
With approximately $1b worth of physical assets, we are creating a planning framework for our developments, buildings, spaces, landscapes, and consolidating our approach to transport, parking, utilities and infrastructure.
In Flinders University’s history, we’ve undertaken one other Master Planning project in 1992. Since then, there have been significant and rapid advances across the tertiary education sector, learning and teaching, technology, sustainability, research, student and staff expectations and much more.
Helping Flinders to fully leverage and maximise future opportunities in research and education, the Master Plan will be a blueprint for the physical development of Bedford Park, helping to create an outstanding campus experience for our students, staff and visitors.
To achieve this, we’ll be engaging with our students and staff, the Flinders community, and our stakeholders over the course of the project. Details about how you can get involved, indicative timeframes and more information is available below.
We’re thrilled to be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project and invite you to join us as we develop the new Flinders University Master Plan.
