The strategic partnerships and research commercialisation teams work together to develop research at Flinders, in the initial stage with external partners, and in developing and guiding our research into commercialisation options.
We support the development of strategic partnerships and collaborations with industry, government and other research organisations.
The Strategic Partnerships team identify opportunities for research income and leverage external opportunities to increase research outputs. We promote the University’s research capabilities and bring researchers together for collaborative proposals and projects.

We convert new ideas, innovations and basic research into valuable and useful commercial products.
The Research Commercialisation team works closely with researchers to assess invention potential and perform due diligence. We engage with industry to determine if they will adopt the invention, or not, and under what circumstances. We seek funding to further develop the technology and complete proof of concept demonstrations, and pursue commercialisation deals for the technology to be used commercially.
