1. The Science Industry Advisory Board will advise The College of Science and Engineering on matters concerning the capacity and mechanisms of the College to positively and effectively engage with industry, government and potential employers. In particular, the board will:
a) inform the College on future workforce needs
b) provide strategic thinking and direction that will improve the industry-readiness of Flinders Science graduates at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
c) evaluate the relevance of our existing Science courses and how they are taught for current and future industry-based endeavours, as well as identify areas that are emerging or lacking;
d) identify mechanisms to enhance industry engagement, in both education and research.
e) provide any other advice that will improve the impact of Flinders Science on South Australia’s policies and its economic and social well-being
2. The Advisory Board will:
(a) receive regular reports on, and proactively monitor the performance of the College’s external engagement with Science-based Industries;
The term of office for members is two years, renewable on mutual agreement.
50% of membership plus 1, with at least 6 of these being members that are external to Flinders
Meetings will be held 2 times per year
